EMI Planner ("we", "our", or "the app") is a free loan EMI and investment calculator built for Indian users. It is a calculation and planning tool only — it does not provide loans, financial advice, or connect you with any lender. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data stays on your device, the limited data you can choose to send us or that we collect anonymously (and can always turn off), your rights, and the terms under which you use the app.
By installing or using EMI Planner, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
EMI Planner is an educational and planning tool only. It does not provide loans, and nothing in the app is financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.
All results — EMI, interest, amortization schedules, eligibility, tax benefits, APR, prepayment savings, and the SIP, FD, RD and other investment calculators — are mathematical estimates based on the inputs you provide and standard formulas. Actual figures from your bank, lender, or financial institution may differ due to rounding, day-count conventions, fees, taxes, and changes in rates or regulations. Always verify with your lender or a qualified advisor before making any financial decision.
The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the app or its calculations. You agree to use the app only for lawful, personal purposes and not to misuse, reverse-engineer, or redistribute it. These terms are governed by the laws of India.
We do not collect any personal or financial information. The only data that ever leaves your device is feedback you actively choose to send us, and optional anonymous usage statistics (structure only — see Section 5) that you can turn off at any time.
The app does not require an account or login. Everything you enter — loan amount, interest rate, tenure, income, investment calculator inputs, saved plans, and settings — is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to us or to any third party.

We do not attach your loan data, income, or any advertising or device identifier to feedback. Sending feedback is entirely optional. Please do not include personal or financial information in your message.
To understand which features are actually useful, the app can send anonymous events like "Calculator opened" or "Loan Tracker opened" — never a rupee amount, interest rate, income, plan name, or any text you type. This is structure only: which screen opened, which button was tapped.
Each install gets a random, resettable identifier that is never linked to your identity, your loan data, or any account, and it is not your device's advertising ID. We never read or store your IP address or precise location.
This is on by default, with this disclosure. You can switch it off — or reset your anonymous ID — anytime from the app's Settings → Privacy screen.
Saved loan plans and preferences are stored locally on your device using on-device storage. This data is only accessible within the app, is never uploaded, and is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear the app's data. We have no access to it.
When you save a plan with a monthly EMI reminder, the app schedules a local notification on your device for the day you choose. These reminders are generated entirely on your device — they are not push notifications, there is no server involved, and no data is sent to us or any third party to deliver them. The reminder only shows the plan name you entered. You can grant or deny the notification permission when prompted, and turn reminders off any time by deleting the plan or from your device's Settings → Apps → EMI Planner → Notifications.
The app uses an internet connection to send feedback you submit, to send the anonymous usage statistics described in Section 5, and to use the share feature; it uses the notifications permission only to show the local EMI reminders you set up, and it uses vibration for haptic feedback. EMI Planner does not access your camera, microphone, contacts, photos, or location.
EMI Planner contains no third-party advertising, analytics, tracking, or crash-reporting software. Feedback and anonymous usage statistics are both sent to our own server only, and are never shared with any third party.
EMI Planner is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect any data from children.
Your loan and financial data stays on your device, so its security depends on your device's own protection — we recommend keeping it locked with a PIN or biometric lock. Feedback and anonymous usage statistics you send are transmitted over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.
We may update this Privacy Policy and Terms from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with a new "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy and terms.
